This is one of the best ever made game!

Can’t do anything now. I need to add and upgrade ship weapons but nobody has it in their shop. I need to a hacker to get into a location but there is no around to hire. I have to get to the Lower Deck to repair it and find “V” (the android I found) but every time I try to open the I get a message “Safety Warning. Access Denied.” No hints on how to get into the Lower Deck. I give up.
Have not played in a while. Maybe I can still help you get going.
(Tips in general, for ppl who need to start. Spoilers ahead.)
Not sure at what stage you are, you did not mention e.g. space traders or
the pirate base. But you already recovered V. Weird.

# You get a first laser at your “home” space station, after you hear an advertisment.
– The station staff look for asteroid miners – go to office in hangar area, get laser.
– Add laser to weapon room on ship, mine asteroid fields, sell yield at station, earn.
— Later improve lasers to 100% – gives way better yields, you earn more coin.
# To fly further, build 3 impulse engines in engine room with parts you collect.
– Make them work at over 33% (67+% iirc), then you can reach other destinations.
– You need *genuine parts* to improve performance of your devices and engines.
– Always exchange substitute parts (those “rods”) for genuine ones, if you got some.
– Get them at space traders, find in space, at hunt+fight missions, in pirate base.
# There is a cargo bay “compression device”, makes your ship carry more. Get it asap.
– Do deal from space traders + pirate base. You haul in shitloads of coins that way.
– Buy stock for all your coins (expensive pieces first), sell at stations for profit.
– Traders + pirates also have engines, better weapons a.o. expensive or illegal stuff.
— First do trade missions – ask bar maid at home space station.
— Later do “bounty” missions too; you need to prove your worth to pirate chief first.

# This is a hacker girl at your home space station. Ask the bar maid for her.
– Girl is later found in alley way where the bar is. Meet her, she has conditions.
– First get trading going, earn. You need coins to hire her + for questing later.
– Buy hacking device she needs (get it at evening from shady trader girl at bar).

# “It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this.” *hands bot*
– Send your little bot to repair lower deck – from the ship’s cargo deck.
– On cargo deck there is an entrance at the upper wall part, it can use that.
– Bot needs parts (nanites iirc?), get them at space trader ships, are cheaper.

Try to tap again *onto area* (the asteroids in your case), or try double-tap?
Maybe it helps if you fly forth and back once, between two close destinations.
Don’t remember such problem before. Also, when it’s late you only mine next day.

There is a log of quests etc., in your cabin I iirc? Check the computer.
Android version, cant mine, stuck at the waypoint cant mine ore. Wish devs added arrow and mine button for mobile play. Otherwise great game with good plot, alot of grind to get through it, but fun to play. Also, would be nice if there was a captains log, or journal to keep track of the quests/missions.
