v0.5.0 I’m very excited to announce the release of the new version of Couples: Lustbound. This update took a bit more effort than usual due to several new systems and programming features I implemented. Even so, I believe this version is a very important step forward, as it opens up new paths and possibilities for the story. What’s included in this update? ✨ 700+ new renders ✨ New replay menu ✨ New special gallery images ✨ Option to rename the main characters ✨ Full Spanish and Italian translations ✨ Improved menu images quality ✨ New pre-game loading screen ✨ Updated credits screen ✨ 2 animations — my first ones fully made by me, without AI Key notes: Content & renders The update might feel standard in length, but keep in mind that one of the scenes includes multiple outfit variations, which significantly increases the total number of renders. Replay menu For now, the replay menu is in a list format. I’m currently learning how to upgrade it into a more visual version with images. Translations The Spanish version was done in neutral Spanish. As for Italian, it’s not my native language, so I apologize in advance if you find any grammatical issues. Animations There are only two animations, and they’re relatively short. However, these are my first attempts, and I’m happy with how they turned out. Let me know your thoughts — one thing is certain: this is just the beginning, and more animations will come. I truly hope you enjoy this update as much as I enjoyed creating it. This small delay of a few days was mainly to implement features many of you requested, like the replay menu and other improvements. As you know, one of my strengths is focusing on angles, poses, and presentation to better appreciate the characters. Because of that, the render count increases, and the time between updates can vary — though I always try to maintain a pace of around one update every month and a half. And they shouldn’t be in “RPG or RPGM,” or “Unity 3D,” or “Unreal Engine,” they should be in “Ren’py.” These are the games that are successful. Judging by some of the juvenile hater posts on here I’m probably gonna get a bunch of shit, but I’m going to put this out there. I’ve only gotten to the lingerie store scene, so this isn’t concerning the entire game, but why do game devs feel the need to resort to denigrating language and thought processes? These are such outdated, worn out, and cliche tropes; you can have a woman peeping at a man and it will say how “hot” or “toned” he is and of course they can’t take their eyes off his “magnificent cock” (which I’m okay with; this is porn logic after all), but here you have this old perv running a lingerie store and peeping at the female MC changing and the first thought comment is “don’t close that curtain bitch” and then “this little slut is so fucking hot”. See the difference? Men are portrayed as “hot hung hunks”, but the women are “sluts and bitches” (stated by a nasty old peeping pervert). I’m not a “feminist”, but this disparity has always irritated me; if it’s a dude he’s a stud, but if it’s a chick she’s a whore.
