Version 4.1:
Animated Portraits
New animated portraits are now in game for Jay, Marian, Wendy, Lisha, Lily, Nori, Moni, and Fern. Karen, Vivi, and Amelia are planned next.
Performance & Graphics
A lot of optimization work has been added, including LOD models, improved draw distance, event optimization, camera occlusion, and general performance improvements. New graphics settings also let you disable grass, bushes, other vegetation, and particles.
Map, Fast Travel & Time Skip
You can now use the map to fast travel between locations at the cost of Energy. A new Skip Time menu also lets you advance time by spending Energy.
Resource Radar
Nearby resources and interactable objects can now be highlighted to make exploration easier.
Morning Events
Characters can now visit and talk to you during morning events. More of these interactions will be added over time.
Improved Gift System
The gift pool has been heavily expanded for Jay and Fern. They can now accept a much wider variety of items, including fruits, vegetables, food, sweets, drinks, and more. Regular gifts give relationship points, while each character also has unique favorite gifts that give a bigger bonus. More characters will use this system later.
New & Redesigned Areas
The Hospital and a new beach area have been added, along with multiple redesigns and improvements to existing locations.
Carpentry & Farm Expansions
Fern’s carpentry system is now functional. Available upgrades include the Fishing Dock, Barn, Workers Complex, Private Shed, Cabin Second Floor, and Farm Expansion.
Compost System
You can now build a compost and fill it with organic materials or trash. Once full, wait one day to produce Soil, which is used for farm upgrades.
Trash & Recycling
Trash searching has been rebalanced, and city trash can now give both items and Reputation. A Recycling Bin has also been added as another use for collected trash.
Weed System
There are now 13 weed strains you can grow. Weed is highly profitable but illegal to carry and sell. Growing it is generally safe unless it is visible, in which case some characters may react. Nori, for example, will stop visiting if she sees weed growing openly. The Private Shed can be used to hide illegal crops.
Praying & Weather
You can now pray at the island idol for Rain, Sunny Weather, or Fortune. Offering money increases the chance of success. Fortune gives a Luck bonus that improves trash loot. Rain also now works properly and automatically waters crops.
Utility Characters
The Café Owner sells food and recipes that can be used as gifts or to restore Energy. Shady returns from the demo and sells illegal items, including weed seeds, while also buying contraband that normal stores won’t accept.
NPC Job Updates
Some established characters now have jobs around the island. For example, Wendy now works at the convenience store.
Rubbers Rework
Rubbers now has a completely new model and 4 outfits that can be changed in the cabin. The model replacement broke some of his existing in-engine animations, which will be fixed next update. Older erotic scenes using the previous model are still available for now and will be replaced later.
Quality of Life
• Some menus now use one-click selection
• Load/Save added to the in-game menu
• Most menus now lock camera movement
• Planting menu only shows seeds
• Various bug fixes and smaller improvements
The main thing I want from this Snapshot is feedback, especially about performance, optimization, bugs, and how the newer systems feel.
